Simplify Management with cPanel’s Manage Team Users Feature

In the fast-paced world of web development and hosting, collaboration is key. Managing your website, domains, email accounts, and databases often requires a team effort. To streamline this process and enhance your web management experience, cPanel has introduced the “Manage Team Users” feature. In this article, we'll explore how this new feature can simplify your web management tasks and foster effective teamwork.

What is Manage Team Users?

Manage Team Users, launched by cPanel in September, is designed to make user management a breeze. It empowers you to add team members to your cPanel account, each with their specific roles and responsibilities. Here's what this feature brings to the table:

1. Collaborative Management

With Manage Team Users, you can create and manage team members who can assist in various aspects of web hosting. Whether it's managing domains, email accounts, or databases, you can delegate tasks and responsibilities efficiently.

2. Team Ownership

As the team owner, you retain full control. Team users are virtual accounts under your ownership, ensuring that you maintain authority over your web assets. This allows you to oversee your web management effectively.

3. Key Interface Elements

The Manage Team Users interface comprises essential components to facilitate user management:

  • Manage Team Account Quota Status: Stay updated on your team's account quota.
  • Create a Team User Interface: Easily add team members by clicking on “Create Team User.” This interface provides options to configure basic information, security settings, and role assignments.
  • List of Team Users: View a list of your team members. You can sort this list as needed by clicking on column headings.
  • View Audit Log Interface: Access the Audit Log to track actions performed using the API. Please note that your system administrator must enable the cPanel API Log setting for this feature.
